What am I doing now?

Recently discovered a new bit of technology. Not really a gadget, but more of a geek thing to do but might one day catch on in a big way.

It's called twitter.

What is twitter? It's pretty much a blog but really only for sms type messages. In fact, you can update it via sms messaging if you like and it seems that some of the people on it are doing that. Mostly you update it via the web.

What is it's purpose?
Essentially it's a way of letting people know what you are doing right now. It can also be a form of instant messaging where you can track friends and send each other comments/thoughts.

Who gives a fig what you are doing now?
Well, probably no one, but then again, who gives a stuff about what you write in a blog? Some people do, a lot, some people don't but they read it anyway.

SO if you are interested, look over there -> on the right hand side bar you'll see my latest comments about what I'm doing, or thinking. It really is a mini blog if you like.

By the way, the guy that invented Blogger is also responsible for twitter, look out, Google might just buy that too.

i don't mind you crushing on technology.

much.

say when did you break the scotch tumbler? did you? why didn't you tell me? are we going to live our lives via twitter and blog comments?

yep. good idea.

but just a point - twittering about footy scores i don't think is the way to go. you have to say what you're doing. otherwise it gets more boring.

did you see the "more"?

ha.

Ummm... No I didn't break the tumbler. Does that mean we are down to 2?

The footy score thing was just me trying something out. My objective is to get someone else to create a bot which will generate the scores via twitter (like the cricinfo guys have done).

A Saints supporter must have seen the scores coz he's added me as a twitter friend.

Chatting via post copmments and twitter is just like our courting days.
See ya later.

you said something on twitter about breaking our scotch tumblers and that we need some more...

i thought it was fairly clear you'd broken one, or someone had.

no, still 3 left.

Umm. No idea what I was saying, maybe it was on scotch night.

I think I broke one back in the old house. I'm pretty sure I had only 3 when we moved in.

In keeping with the twitter theme.
